Haylie and I have made an American friend who knows people who know people and can get you on guest lists that are sometimes a little unreachable (to say the least). It's pretty awesome. Those of you who follow my twitter or facebook feed will notice that I said I was going up to a party at Tiffany & Co. on 5th Ave. Well I went to this party, I took a look, it was a little intimidating, and wasn't at all what I imagined it would be. I thought that given it was a launch party for an instagram photo collaboration with
The Satorialist, I expected to see a little more than girls in Louboutin's and all shades of black. However don't misinterpret that, I am a fan of Louboutin's. I'll happily take a pair any day. It was just not what I expected. A New Yorker would probably say right about now "What do you expect?! You're on the Upper East Side, in the most famous Tiffany's location in the world, with some of the richest people on the planet.". Sorry I'm from New Zealand. I must say though that Solange Knowles was really pumping out some killer beats and her yellow dress was equally as exciting. Unfortunately I was unable to take photos as all I had was my giant camcorder and I stayed a whole of about 20mins. But thanks to some on-to-it tweeters, here you go (

I left the party to do a little wandering of the streets. I guess I just enjoy my own company (call it only child syndrome if you like). These streets can be more exciting than any exclusive party.
Here's what I found:
I also found a Brooks Brothers store (I'm a little crazy about their shirts and suits). I took some photos of their store windows. The front windows of a store are like a movie poster, if it's crap then you aren't going to watch the movie, likewise if the windows aren't appealing you probably wont go in.
Brooks Brothers have saturated their windows with the nautical theme. I think it looks amazing. Most would probably say it's suited to an older demographic but what's a demographic these days anyway.
All photos are by me unless stated otherwise. Someone asked me why I missed a subway day. That's because the responses I got were uninteresting. I'm still doing it and rest-assured they are in my Moleskine, but i'll only share if they're any good.
And I'm out.
haha i call it only child syndrome too
