Road Trip to Malibu & Backstage Hollywood before the Oscars #44

I'm not one to start that awkward conversation about the weather but I must say that today had a chilling breeze, and I secretly liked it. It made me miss New York. Anyway I have made some really awesome friends where I am staying and we decided to road trip out to Malibu to see the 'beach houses'. Wow. There is some serious architecture out there. It's like Pauanui but on steroids. I finally got to spend a brief moment at the beach in lieu of missing summer. Total win. We sort of may have sneakily bluffed our way into this really intense university (slash they had really crap security on the gate). It was pretty freakn magical. Road trips are best when you have crazy adventures.

In other news...
I also went on a backstage tour of the Chinese theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, right next to where the Oscars are being held. This is theatre is where most major movie premieres happen. The last of which was J Edgar with Leonardo DiCaprio. I had a serious almost-wet-my-pants moment when the usher took us downstairs to the female 'powder room', where the stars get ready. Not only did I see the seat Marilyn Monroe sat on to do her make-up, but it was also where Drew, Cameron, and Lucy got ready for the Charlie's Angels premiere. You will notice I refer to them by their first names because I've watched those movies so many times that I feel like I'm friends with them. Don't judge me, I had a lot of spare time as a child.

I think very little has to be said about this photo. But my caption would go something like this, "Blue Jean Baby, L.A lady."

And I'm out.
Peace, Morgs
p.s GUESS WHAT'S TOMORROW? OSCARS OSCARS OSCARS. It seems I wont have the same vantage point as I thought I might but I will still do my darn best to get some magical shots for you. I'll be live tweeting as much as possible so join me on twitter.
