I'm waaay tired from tonight but I'll give you the un-decoded version of what happened tonight, and give you more of a break down tomorrow. If you follow the blog you'll know I've been going to these industry events with Jay-Z's producer Young Guru. Well tonight was the last one, which was followed by an after shindig. Here's how it all went down for me. Woke up. Edit photos. Update work website. Yoga. Home. Take the above photo. Get changed. Find gold chains. Get hair looking flash. Downtown travelling. Fall over on subway. Get to venue. Get caught singing this part of Kanye's Monster out loud (red face goes here). Wait for friend. Friend is late. Drink cocktails. Event starts. Guru starts talking about where technology is taking us. There's talk about piracy in the industry (music). Scientist whips out his new product - a 2terabyte USB stick. Mouths drop in the room. Talks about where Facebook and Twitter are taking us in the future. Talks of file sharing. Talks of human cloning. Talks of computerized living in less than 10 years. Talks of living 'in the cloud'. Mind blown (maybe it's the cocktails). Talks of measuring personal performance on social media influence. Talks about kids and technology. Quote from Guru: "Yeah in the hiphop community we call 'saying mean shit behind a computer' cyber thugging ". Talks about the fastest shift in digital communication ever. This is bigger than the industrial revolution. Mind blown. Not the cocktails. That's Part one.
