Have you heard about the 'Hey Girl' Ryan Gosling memes? Chances are you've breezed past one while drowning yourself in the internet - like this for example. Well I went to a gathering organized by Tumblr (yes tumblr as in www.tumblr.com) for a book has been released based purely on Feminist Ryan Gosling 'hey girl' memes. Is such a thing actually possible, you ask? Yes, yes it is. It all started with the tumblr blog 'Feminist Ryan Gosling' by Danielle Henderson, it then spawned followers, which equals blog traffic, which equals attention, and so much so that it was turned into a book. Wow.
Unfortunately Ryan didn't show up, though he was invited. Instead, most just vibed on their fondest memories of Mr. Gosling from such movies as The Notebook. The more I talk about it the weirder it sounds, therefore I will stop now.
