Illona Royce Smithkin for KAREN WALKER #386

Last year in May I was getting off the downtown C train at 14th Steet in New York City. A little woman in a bright green tracksuit walked past me. It was Illona Smithkin. I introduced myself and fan girled over her presence (probably a little too much) which you can read about here.

It has now been officially announced that she is one of the new faces of the latest Karen Walker Eyewear campaign! It's so cool to see a New Zealand designer noticing the Advanced Style Movement that Ari Seth Cohen has really brought forward to everyone's consciousness. The last brand that did a photo shoot with the Advanced Style ladies was Lanvin.
