Faces of NYFW - Anna Dello Russo, Joe Jonas, Shoshanna & more #251

I thought I'd put together a post of some of the faces I've shot at New York Fashion Week. There are two days left and I'm still loving it, but I'm super tired. I guess that's what it's all about though right? I also realise I missed the weekly wrap - not to worry it'll be double the fun this Sunday. Nuff talking check out my photos.
Anna Dello Russo - Vogue Japan, Editor at Large
Joe Jonas - He sings stuff.
Zosia Mamet - aka Shoshanna from GIRLS (watch this)

THE END of THE NEW YORK MANIFESTO #36

As most of you know, a friend and I have been doing a collaborative blog called 'The New York Manifesto'. We pretty much chronicled our lives for three months in a weekly vlog. However, Haylie is returning to New Zealand to continue studying therefore the The New York Manifesto has come to an end. It's been a really exciting project to complete and it's something I'm proud to lend my name to. Haylie and I really have had an incredible time in New York. And I will miss Haylie's company and laughing hysterically at completely ridiculous things. But like with all good things you must stop when it peaks and  move forward with something new. I hope, for those of you who were regular watchers, you enjoyed it. Here it is, the final vlog.

And I'm out.

Dress Nice = Get Treated Nice #34

Let's keep this short. You dress nice, you get treated nice. Nice is such an ugly word. Look at these pretty folk. There aint no way they're getting sent to the back of the line. Just sayin.
On the Street NYFW Fall 2012
Stay 'nice' kids. It opens doors. Even perhaps the backstage door to the Betsey Johnson runway, but perhaps not past the big guy checking I.D. Dammit.

And I'm out.

FASHION WEEK 'The Politically Correct Paparazzi' // BLOGGERS #29

Standing outside Mercedes Benz Fashion Week is beyond a dream. In some ways I'd prefer it to being inside. Nothing really compares to fashion week in New York. New Zealand Fashion Week is exciting and I love it; but New York Fashion Week is on a totally different level. Walking around outside NYFW I lost count of the street style bloggers at 35. We perhaps have 5 or 6 prominent street style bloggers in NZ who actively get out there and do their thang (no that's not a typo I just prefer it to 'thing'). However, being in New York it really makes you appreciate how much of a business street style blogging really is. Walking out of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week hub is like walking into a pit of politically correct paparazzi, and anyone with an ounce style is fair game for a chase down. What's interesting to me is that most of the street style bloggers have more style than the people they're photographing (and I think most of them know that). It often turns into blogger photographing blogger. Someone should do a thesis on the psyche of 'the street style blogger'. It would be freakn hilarious.
I went behind the lens-of a lens-of a street style blogger (if that make sense). Enjoy my snapping frenzy. check below to see more pics
