Spotted Tim Gunn & Nina Garcia, plus some much needed Twitter wisdom #43

I think this phrase is appropriate in this case, 'That awkward moment when you come round the corner and Tim Gunn and Nina Garcia are standing in front of you. And all the American's there don't know who they are. And you're having a major freak out. And Tim looks longingly at you.' I believe they were filming a pre-Oscars build up. Too much excitement. I was also meant to go to Terry Richardson's gallery opening tonight but I didn't because I'm waaay tired. And then I hear Paris Hilton was in attendance along with her clique. I apologize for not going and reporting back for you. I am sincerely sorry. That would have been an ultimate people watching opportunity.

In other news,
I was writing an article for a New Zealand publication and I thought I'd share a little from it with you:

Twitter is like Facebook's ugly but well groomed little sister. I use it mainly to laugh at celebrity rants. One celebrity that is entertaining on a daily basis is Rihanna. She has the same level of grammar etiquette as an 8 year old from Tokoroa. It makes for brilliant entertainment. Share in this insightful wisdom I have plucked from Rihanna’s twitter feed ;

Rihanna  @rihanna
“London is cold AS FUCK!!!!!!!!”

Rihanna  @rihanna
“I be high, but my lows keep a nigga humble”

Rihanna  @rihanna
“Life's a bitch, but that's the only love I know”

Rihanna  @rihanna
“U gon' learn today.....what a long dick look like”

Rihanna  @rihanna
“#RedLipstick all on da papa...Lemme grab my d*ck while ya sit on top!”
So, so much wisdom.

And then this. It seems she is talking to Chirs Brown again. In fact they’ve made another song together. Enough said.

Rihanna  @rihanna
"@chrisbrown Turn up the music remix #RihannaNavy #Teambreezy enjoy!!! vimeo.com/mechanicaldumm…"

And I just spotted this:
Dara Adeeyo  @DAdeeyo
“I had to stop following Rihanna. Her tweets are too juvenile.”

Hear ye, hear ye. Now that’s wisdom.

And I'm out.
Peace, Morgs

Backstage at Donna Karan New York + Finding Bill Cunningham #32

The second Donna Karan show just finished in NYC. DK is a fairly big crowd puller and yesterday the likes of Nina Garcia and Ashley Greene were in attendance. Today the Donna Karan runway bleachers played host to none other than Adriana Lima. I have somehow acquired a pass that, if used correctly, can get you backstage. Total win. The hardest part is not the first line of security but the second. I made it past the first but when I got to the second they totally called me out. Dammit. I am pretty much legit (if I do say so myself). I'm not some weirdo trying to steal Jennifer Aniston's Blackberry. I just want to take photos. I shall try again. I love DKNY.

After total deflation from being ushered out I found someone I admire very much . I came outside and Bill Cunningham was right infront of me (everything happens for a reason). I couldn't believe it. I took this photo and I think it shows how much Bill loves what he's doing. There were obviously a few other creeps there who were total Bill Cunningham nerds. They started talking to him and I could tell he just wanted them to piss off so he could take photos. Thus, I didn't approach him. However, when I was walking back to the apartment I found him walking to his bike. Why I know this is because I bumped into him. I was looking at my phone and he walked infront of me so I tried to swerve but failed miserably. I momentarily stopped (then realized who it was) and said sorry, he replied, "that's ok child." My life is complete.

And I'm out.
Peace, Morgs
