Before I begin it is paramount that you understand I have read (no kidding. I am really not shitting you here) 10 books in my lifetime. I mean like chapter books that are on those fancy shelves in the library. Actually two of them were course readers in High school. And 4 of them may have been Twilight books (what can I say. The 'hook' got me). And one of them was by Jacqueline Wilson, you know those pre-teen spastically coloured books with the almost comic sans type? Yeah them. And one of them was the Wizard of Oz. So I guess in all seriousness I've only actually read two books that are of any literary notoriety. I mean I've read plenty of poetry. Just not 'book' books. If you know what I mean. A funny side note to all of this: when I was interviewing for this high school I was going to go to (back in the day) the principal said to me, "Smart people read books. The only way you will get smarter is by reading books". Tell that to my A+ university grades. Bitch.
Anyway, I'm ashamed to admit it actually no I'm not (up yours judgmental people). Let me start that again. Today I went to Barnes & Nobel on 5th Ave to well...to purchase that 'Hunger Games' book. Everybody is raving about it so I thought I'd read what it's all about. I got to the stand read the blurb and thought 'ah no not for me. The only death fight storyline I will ever follow is in the closing scene of Coneheads'. All you 90's kids are probably singing that Tainted Love cover from the movie right now aren't you? "Some times I feel I want to e e get away I want to e e run away..." and so on. Or you lived a sheltered life and never saw Coneheads. Whatever. So in the end my Conehead logic prevailed and it was decided that I would refrain from purchase. However, this beautiful looking piece of literary genius, Bossypants by Tina Fey, keep screaming at me. So I bought it. As I was walking back to catch the train to my Brooklyn ghetto, I pulled it out and started reading. The only time I have put it down is to write this blog. It's exactly my kind of humor. We are on the same level Miss Fey. The same level. Except you're way old. And I'm way young.
Go get it!
And I'm out.
Peace, Morgs

My fave book too. You can just imagine her voice in your head when you read it, so hilarious.

Totally agree! It's like you're having a conversation with her. My only wish is that she writes another
