The Weekly Wrap - 4th of July, Fire Hydrants & Andy Murray #185

Kim Sears - Andy Murray's show-stopping girlfriend
1. Celebrated my first American '4th of July'. We went down to the west side highway and watched the sky blow up. I would go as far as to say the fireworks I saw were similar to that of an atomic bomb exploding - only in America.

2. Sat on a rooftop discussing life with friends while drinking Coronaritas. I'm told I shouldn't be using the word 'fantastic' until I'm at least 30 but what the hey - it was fantastic.

3. Walking home from the rooftop bar a friend and I decided to spontaneously run through a fire hydrant. As Miranda Hart would say, it really was, such fun!

4. I've that I'm no longer catching the subway if I don't have to. The bus is a much better option. Except when you catch it the wrong way.

5. Zoomed past Libby (or more commonly the Statue of Libs) on the Staten Island Ferry.

4. Watched Serena Williams kick butt in the woman's final at Wimbledon. Well deserved

5. I must say I have always been team Federer (I even got a tour of the Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne to see where his locker is, but shhhh don't tell people that). However, after seeing the way Andy Murray fought in that final I almost jumped ship. Well deserved by Federer, but I cried a few tears in Andy Murray's speech. Ouch! You could actually see the pain in his eyes.

And when his girlfriend also started crying, followed by his mother, let's just say you could hear sobbing from every corner of the cafe I was in. Well fought Andy but well deserved Federer.

Peace, Morgs
