| Taken from the book Friend not Foe by Haylie Gray & Saranna Drury |
2. Arrived with best friend and Graphic Design Extraordinaire, Haylie.
3. Found an apartment with a crazy landlord who owns a soft porn magazine. Lived with the most annoying models who smoked in the shower. F***ers.
4. Filmed our lives for 3 months in New York.
5. Got addicted to cupcakes. Not a good idea.
6. Started writing actual stuff not just shopping lists.
7. Went to a talk with the Marketing director of Victoria's Secret Beauty. Realized everything a brand shouldn't be.
8. Hung around New York Fashion Week. Wrote about it.
9. Met Bill. Wrote about it.
10. Got published.
11. Went to Bloomberg HQ for talk with the Dachis Group. Felt like I had seen the future.
12. Haylie went home.
13. Started working for SousStyle
14. Went out to Hollywood. Ended up at the red carpet for the Oscars. Wrote about it.
15. Got back to New York. Realized I needed an apartment. Thought I'd live the traveller life for a while. You know, enrich my writing brain (rolls eyes). Booked a room from airbnb. Lived in the ghetto. Had a psychotic landlord. Could have been murdered.
16. Got a writing agent. Weird.
17. Generally have to write at least 8 articles per week for various publications.
18. Considered quitting blogging (many times).
19. Got away from psychotic mentally unstable ghetto house. Moved to Coney Island.
20. Met some awesome kiwis at a bar. They asked if I wanted to get an apartment with them. I said sure, why not? The rest is history.
21. Learnt that writing is quite consuming, but it's what comes naturally.
22. Constantly told I don't have a 'real' job. F*** you!
23. Watched this. Got inspired.
And here we are right now.
Peace, Morgs.
