It's a bit delayed but better late than never right?
Here's the exciting summary of what happened last week:
1. I finally got rid of my circa 2001 Nokia phone. I now feel like I am part of the present again (RIP Blackberry). Hello smartphone- again.
2. I went to a talk with the Coen brothers and the director of Men in Black. They kept talking about a fellow called Jermaine and it wasn't till I got outside that I clicked that they were talking about Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords. Dur. That was a strange talk. After it ended we came outside and these crazed fans approached the friend I was with and asked him which way they [the Coen Brothers] had gone. Without consideration he pointed the stalker pack in the right direction. Oops. This is merely factual observation so don't think I'm trying to be mean, imagine Jimmy Neutron about 300 pounds heavier, also with facial hair, and then imagine him running as fast as a mobility scooter. Yes that is what happened.
3. I met one of my idols, Ilona Royce Smithkin. Read about it here.
4. I tried to offer Betsey Johnson help with her shopping bags (not realising at first that she was actually Betsey Johnson). Awkward turtle.
5. I have been informed that this is 'baby making music' and that it is inappropriate for everyday life. But I love it to much stop listening. Blast it.
6. I said I was detoxing for 2 weeks. Then I end up going out the other night and having a glass of beer. Grr. You won that time Mr. Budweiser.
7. I went to a New Zealand vs. Australia cricket game up-state. Sadly we didn't win. It was close though. Sort of. Not really. Click here (skip to 3:20).
8. Jake Gyllenhaal also walked past me down in the West Village. I only looked up because he almost tripped over a subway grate. And I thought I was a clutz.
That's all folks, I'm off to sleep in the city that never sleeps.
Peace, Morgs
