Jay-Z live in concert #269

I can say I've crossed another thing off my bucket list - see Jay-Z live in concert. Check. Jay killed it! Before I talk about the awesomeness that was the concert (of all concerts) lets start from the beginning of the day. So my friend and I purchased tickets this morning to the gig, which we paid 3 times as much for (buy your tickets early). I was totally amped. Not only is this friend a Jay-Z supporter, he works as a sound engineer at a studio in New York - so jealous. Before we went to the concert I rocked up to his pretty sweet work digs and we listened to some Jay-Z. Later on we headed over to Brooklyn and made our way through the masses into the Barclays Center. That place is cray. I have to say the best part of the concert, for me, was when Jay drank a few too many and gave mini pep talks between songs. For example before 99 problems he pretty much told us to pull out our middle finger to anyone who tries to diminish your accomplishments. Coincidentally, I had someone do this to me today, so what did I do? I listened to HOVA, put my finger in the air, and forgot they existed. Word. Back to that awesome friend of mine, he's also just started a blog. Check it out it's all about the behind the scenes of recording here in New York (did I mention he's a kiwi?!). Click the discography and see who he's worked with (cough cough some of the biggest names in hiphop). It's pretty impressive. Lance you machine! CLICK HERE. And for the tech savvy you can also follow him on twitter. Get that.
