The Charlie Brown show at New Zealand Fashion Week did not disappoint. The backdrop seemed Rocky Horror Picture
Show inspired and the models were striking with bright red lips against glistening white teeth. Yet what was on show was not risque. It was
classy and prim.
The designs seemed 1920's styled with
beautiful flapper inspired dresses, tassels and all. Big colourful patterns could be seen on
drop waist dresses, and delicate lace on figure hugging little black dress.
Along with the classics there was a dash of
wild and daring. The shimmery silver pants with the matching plunging neckline
shirt were a stand out and the various dresses and skirts with delicate
feathers added that extra bit of flare to the show.
The show closed with celebrity Aja Rock in
a sparkly, pink sequined dress looking comfortable and confident as she smiled
at the audience including Sally and Jaime Ridge, Candy Lane and Auckland Mayor
Len Brown who lent a helping hand to the model who wobbled and toppled off her
shoes at the very end of the show.
The sophisticated show left the audience
with an “I must have that, and that” feeling and those wearing Charlie Brown
designs in the crowd were very proud to flaunt that to anyone who would listen.

Thanks to the Lara for this splendid guest blog. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend the show because I was flying back to NYC, but thanks to the amazing Lara we still got coverage. Thank you, thank you! I will definitely see you next season Charlie Brown! The date is set.
Peace, Morgs
p.s thanks for the photos Melissa Low!
