Back to my Roots part I - Contemporary Art #322

Instagram photo I took from the top of The New Museum

I went to The New Museum, in the Lower East Side, today. I forgot how much I loved looking at contemporary art. Like, I hate that 'one work on display' conceptual bullshit that leaves you having to guess the meaning or appreciate the structure. But, grouped together in a well curated exhibition, these works can flow really well in a series. Long story short, I was in my element. And to make a good day even better, I found out that Mark Rothko had his studio across the road. Nerd moment.
