I saw these 'Sandy' themed t-shirts in New York today. Naturally, I laughed. But the American response? Not so much. I think they're kind of cool. I would go as far as to say I might purchase one...
Thoughts?
My first response was a little laugh-out-loud, there's no question that these shirts are really cleverly done!
But, then I thought back to the Christchurch quake and if they'd done something like this so soon after, in all fairness it would be a little bad taste.
As soon as someone loses their lives in a natural disaster it totally makes the situation very serious! Forget fallen buildings, or flooded subways, the lives lost are the hardest to accept. Sorry to be the party pooper Morgs!
BUT in saying that, I would definitely get one too. It's a historical moment that you experienced and survived!
I agree. First reponse is woh 'LOL'. Then it's who 'wait a minute'. It is clever, but it hindsight I don't think I'd buy one unless some proceeds were going to those who have lost homes.

Especially thinking of CHCH.
Glad to have your opinion.
I agree with Melissa. It is hilarious but hopefully some of the proceeds go to the relief effort??
ReplyDeleteYou are so right!
