In a moment of spontaneity a friend and I decided we'd take two days out of the week and head to Atlantic City. We didn't really pre-plan anything but trust me shit got real. We stayed at Harrah's Resort and Casino- the best place to stay. Hands down. We arrived on a Wednesday night when the After Dark Pool Party was in full swing. This pool/nightclub is the coolest place ever (apart from the jersey whore factor). As we were collecting our guest passes we noticed that people had to sign release forms for filming that was taking place. [Jersey Shore moment goes here]. I think we missed the good stuff. By the time we got there, there was not much happening besides the abundance of pedo looks.
We did a little bit of gambling most of which was to take advantage of the free drinks. Why not?! I played an impromptue Beatles number on the baby grand piano to which I received a thoughtful nod from a few, a "that's beautiful" from an old man, and a "You're good" from a passing chef. Not bad.
The last night ended with a classy performance from a fellow female. It was about 1am and my friend and I were walking through the lobby of the hotel. We noticed this guy and this girl stumbling all over the place. I chuckled a bit and we both collectively noted that they were 'ugly drunk'. We then went about our business do do do do until out of the corner of my eye I saw the woman holding herself up on a palm tree. She then fell to the ground pulling the guy, and half of the palm tree, down with her. I laughed again. Then felt embarrassed for them. Then laughed some more. It then got even funnier when the both tried to make their way to the elevator. The woman had some how lost the bottom half of her dress and was walking around with her buttocks out. Classy. They then both collapsed in the middle of the lobby and security dealt with them afterwards. What a night.
If you're going to Atlantic City stay at Harrah's. It's the best.
