I think the phrase 'Fake it till you make it' is something everyone adopts at some point in their life, but it really shouldn't be stretched beyond its limits. 

Thus, don't tell me you can do something if you can't. 

Don't tell you can design a website if you can't. 

Don't tell me your a writer if you've just finished a literature degree and the most you've written is poems to your non-existent dream girl. 

Don't tell me you know people who know people because you talked to them once on twitter.

Don't tell me you know the right way when it's obvious my smartphone knows better. 

Don't tell me you can make a better Iced Tea Lemonade than Starbucks because you can't. 

Truth. 

However, do tell me if you or your friends can do any of these things (I may write about them in pseudo-fancy publications.)
